Thierry Lamarre, director of the United States Professional Tennis Registry France (usptr), is in constant relation with the american tennis system. He has been coaching in Hilton Head Island,SC and around Miami / Fort Lauderdale during two years and has created the World Class Tennis camp afterwards to share this great experience with you.
This camp is set to give you an idea of the intensive traning young players from all over the world experience when they come to the United States to practice tennis.
We emphasise on efficiency and point winning in respecting ones own style.The tennis program is based on the USPTR methods which forms american coaches.The goal set for campers is to involve in their tennis and above all, to gain the spirit of american training, without any pressure situation, in always trying to have a positive attitude and to give your best on court, on each ball, during each point, each game and each match.

STAFF: Thierry Lamarre, USPTR Professional, and a team of USPTR professionals, with the support of his team of coaches. See page the coaches.
TENNIS: 35 hours of tennis training spread over 14 days. (two sessions a day) 3h30 of tennis + 1 hour physical training + free play.
AMERICAN METHOD: See American Method Page.
Use of Playmate, here in serve position. The Williams sisters have used this form of training which is based on returning Playmate`s balls. It can serve lifted, sliced, or flat ( maximum speed 220 Km/h).
TRAINING CONDITIONS: 4 to 6 campers per court per coach, video use, radar and Playmate (Unique in France)
PLAYERS AGE: The camp is open to players from 9 to 17 years hold with an organization in two groups. The 9-12 years hold and the 13-17 years hold.

TRAINING OF THE PLAYER

FULL TENNIS APROACH: Technical and mental training, tactics in a tennis match situation + physical training and 30 minutes warm up before each tennis session.
The first week will emphasize on technical and physical aspects while the second week will be based around mental and tactical aspects.
Players will also learn to :
-Prepare themselves physically for their tennis season.
-Gain mental control in a tennis match(Jim Loehr method).
-Prepare and program a tennis year through physical training and nutrition.
These skills and fundamental tactics will be put in application on the court with the angles theory, attack/defense, ship & charge,etc..
ACTIVITIES: The activities from other programmes are replaced by tennis except hiking, swimming, team sports and night time activities.
